Iran with an area of ​​about 1.6 million square kilometers, with a population of about 81 million, is located in the southwest of Asia and in the Middle East region. Tehran is the largest and most densely populated city as the political center and capital of Iran. Iran is one of the oldest countries and one of the first founders of human civilizations in the world. It has positioned itself as an important and strategically important strategic partner in the Central Asian region. In terms of religion, nearly 95-90% of Iranians consider themselves as Shiite Muslims (official religion of the country), and about 10-5% of Sunni Muslims and 0.3% of them are followers of other religions. The remaining 1% are religious minorities in Iran, including Baha’is, Mandaeans, Yarasans, Hindus, Zoroastrians, Jews and Christians. The last three religions are recognized in Iran and they have seats in the Islamic Consultative Assembly. Zoroastrian religion was once the religion of most people in Iran, but today the Zoroastrian population of Iran does not exceed tens of thousands.
